Reed’s, America’s best-selling Ginger Beer, decided to expand into the alcoholic beverage industry with the introduction of Reed’s Mule. The new product would become a quality extension of their brand, but have its own website due to beverage laws and restrictions. As a small website that would feature one product, a store locator, an integrated social feed and a contact-us form, it was clear the website development would be simple. However, it was important to the Locus team that the website design had personality and encouraged user engagement. Rather than using flat imagery of the products, Locus designers created 3D renders of the cans, allowing for greater product visualization. Scroll-actuated interaction drops the Reed’s Mule next to fresh ingredients and a poured version of the effervescent beverage in a chilled copper mug. And while you can't actually taste the delicious ginger-infused libation through your screen, we think you'll agree it's a tantalizing teaser. This custom-designed website, built upon WordPress is certainly small, but it packs the spice.
