pFriem, a local, award-winning brewery and client of Locus for five years, created a campaign slogan with Sockeye Creative for the introduction of “cans”. pFriem Falls was their collaborative ideation and the guise for the re-launch of their acclaimed IPA and Pilsner—only now in beautiful, easy-to-transport, recycleable packaging. As a Pacific Northwest Brewer, it’s no secret that regional customers supplement their love for the great outdoors, with great beer, so it made sense for the campaign to be set among PNW landscapes and the iconic pFriem Bear be the star of the show. With a fun promotional video in place, pFriem asked Locus to translate the campaign into an engaging, online experience. Through 3D product visualization, motion design and scroll actuated interaction, pFriem Falls was brought to life online. The gritty nature of the video (characteristic of old filmstrips) was applied to the marquis and landing page, bringing depth to the graphics. Motion was applied to the pFriem Bear who gives us all a wink and holds his very own IPA. And for a more immersive brand experience, the IPA and Pilsner cans spin to face forward, as a user vertically scrolls through the lush, nature experience. pFriem was so pleased with the online execution of the campaign that they asked us to use the same graphics to wrap their distributor truck.
