NikeSwim.com provides a comprehensive catalog of all Nike Swim products and gives consumers a place to learn about Nike’s latest technology in swimwear and gear. Designed, built and maintained outside of Nike corporate’s global e-comm store, the stand-alone website gives the licensed brand more real estate to tell their brand story, and a place to showcase ALL products, regardless of which dealer carries them. Consumers who visit the website have the ability to find a product at a physical dealer via the store locator, or link through to nike.com for online purchase.
To keep the website fresh for consumers, and relevant for search engines, Locus updates the Expression Engine website each month with spotlights featuring seasonal collections, innovative technologies or new product releases. Product-in-use shots provided in Nike Swim’s visual center, gives us some content to work with, but Locus designers conjure up additional animations, tech drawings or videos to tell the deeper story and build intrigue. Each spotlight includes a homepage marquis or take-over, depending upon its importance, and a landing page with the finer details, along with links for purchasing the products on nike.com.
