Goodrich Hoist & Winch (GHW) was asked to update their branding, to reflect their acquisition by Collins Aerospace. And since the new branding coincided with the launch of their new Pegasus Rescue Hoist, GHW decided it was time to completely overhaul their existing website. Locus, experienced in the redesign of other Collins Aerospace brands, was approached by the GHW team about the redesign, and gladly took on the opportunity.
Rather than create a standard brochureware website, GHW and Locus decided it should have movement and a higher-level of intrigue to ensure consumers knew the newly-acquired brand was still an industry leader. The new Pegasus Hoist was digitally modeled allowing our creative team to move, spin and reverse it as it explained and “demonstrated” it’s features. Product-in-action photography, complimented by Collins’ signature terracotta orange and black, made up the new website’s skin and it was applied to Expression Engine—a content management system popular with clients for its innate level of flexibility and easy-to-use admin.
